My name is Alisha Rajendran and this site is an archive of the work that I completed as part of ENG/IDS201W at Emory University during the fall semester of 2016. As a Media Studies and Sociology Double Major, this class has been very useful for me in terms of expanding my communication skills. I learned how to record a podcast (and write a script for one), which is much more complex than it seems. I learned that making a podcast and a video requires a lot of planning and editing. It is important to be concise while delivering your message – this is one of the most important things I have learned in this class. Furthermore, what does communication to the public mean and why is it important? There are many existing media platforms that answer this question, many of which we have studied in class.
